Warehouse Associate

Position Overview

The Warehouse Associae is responsible for all activities within the warehouse, including, but not limited to Operations Management, Inventory and Systems Management, as well as Safety, Security, and Compliance.                              

 

Job Duties

Operations Management 

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control.
  • Operate forklift to safely load and unload shipments in the yard. 
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and maintain quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage the flow of goods to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales departments to optimize overall supply chain performance.

Inventory and Systems Management

  • Manage physical inventory counts and cycle counting programs to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (SAP) to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • File SOPs for WMS utilization.

Safety, Security, and Compliance

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.
  • Develop and enforce robust safety protocols and conduct regular safety training sessions for all staff.
  • Maintain the security of the warehouse and inventory by implementing and managing security systems and access controls.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any identified hazards immediately.

 

Qualifications

Required:

Prior warehouse and forklift experience.
Effectively and clearly communicate in a one-on-one or group setting.
21 years of age (required to legally drive a DOT truck)
Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently follow detailed instructions while oper
Valid driver’s license along with a clean Motor Vehicle Report. Must pass the Davey Driver’s Safety Course and obtain DOT driving certifications (if  21 years or older).    
Ability to work in all weather conditions.                                                                                      

Preferred:

Ability to use electronic devices and technological tools such as computers and Warehouse Management Software. 
Previous experience performing manual labor outdoors.
Experience using SAP.
