(DRG) is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team. Based in beautiful downtown Kent, OH, you will work with our utility vegetation management (UVM) team to assist in DRG’s growing services to utility clients.


What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent to Davey.
  • Research HR recruiting best practices, methods, and processes; proactively recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Help with new hire on-boarding, compliance reporting, employee relations, etc.
  • Manage the overall recruitment function from posting job openings through the onboarding phase.
  • Perform job and task analysis to develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify active and passive candidates through various recruiting and staffing resources including databases, social media, etc.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, colleges, etc.
  • Manage a pipeline of candidates for future openings.
  • Actively participate in the interview process, by assessing candidates for core competencies, leadership qualities, and exploring career options within Davey.
  • Travel to other office locations, job fairs, on-campus recruiting, and other community events to promote the organization.
  • Develop new and enhance existing relationships with targeted universities and organizations in support of establishing a qualified diverse pipeline of talent.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to analyze data and trends.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.


What you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • 3+ year’s previous human resource experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in full life-cycle recruiting.
  • A good understanding of sourcing and selection techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and Word as well as a familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems. Prior experience with SuccessFactors ATS/Recruiting module and G Suite is preferred.
  • Strong social media technology background.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage strong relationships with a broad range of individuals at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong interview skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively and openly with cross-functional business leaders.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong team building skills and be a positive contributor in a team environment.
  • Available to work before and after standard office hours as work requires.
  • High energy level and a sense of creativity to effectively match candidates with the company's needs, and to positively portray Davey and its employee-ownership culture, values, and priorities.
  • Must be able to travel year-round to attend Co-op/Intern Program events, career fairs/events, and conferences as necessary. Travel may be especially heavy during the Spring and Fall college career fair seasons.
