Position Overview
The CLS Equipment Operator / Snow Plowing, Shoveling and Salting etc.
This is a part-time position $20-$25 per hour depending on experiece
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery and equipment. This is a seasonal part-time position, depending on the regional location.
Job Duties
• Drive and operate heavy equipment, including tractors, skid steers, and loaders.
• Prepare sites for filling, grading, top-dressing, and sodding.
• Control machinery while monitoring material distribution.
• Transport materials and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, report malfunctions.
• Communicate with coworkers for task coordination and ensure work meets specifications.
• Set up work site for traffic control and vehicle safety.
• Follow instructions, adhere to safety regulations, and maintain professional knowledge and certifications.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Ability to pass a mobile equipment operations certification test.
• Valid Driver’s License. Class B CDL valuable, but not required.
