Position Overview

The Human Resources Specialist supports the business within the Human Resources function and is the main point of contact between HR and the Field Operations. This position requires an organized problem solver who can prioritize tasks to ensure daily HR operations run effectively and efficiently. This position will be assisting and approving actions within our HRIS System, including but not limited to hiring process (includes both new hires and rehires), acquisition hires, external hires, terminations, transfers, salary changes, etc. and will handle reporting out of the HRIS system as needed. 

This is an Entry-Level position, located at our corporate office in Kent, Ohio.

Job Duties

• Ensures the accuracy of data within employee files both at the time of entry and on an ongoing basis through periodic audits of the HRIS System.

• Corrects data discrepancies as needed.

• Conducts trainings with operations both in group and one-on-one settings for completing actions within the HRIS System. 

• Maintains knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.

• Works closely with multiple departments to ensure timely employee support.

• Produce employee reports for operations and for government audits upon request.

• Work on special projects as assigned by HR Specialist Supervisor.

Qualifications

Required
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience working within the HR field (or equivalent education). 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Exercises good judgment and maintains confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
• Ability to work with all levels of management and staff.
• Ability adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a close team environment with overlapping/shared responsibilities and maintain positive working relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred
• Prior experience working with SAP and SuccessFactors.

• Bi-lingual in Spanish
