Position Overview

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, has an immediate need for a Junior Accountant to work in a team environment to assist the other accounting staff and the Controller. This person must be able to perform basic accounting functions, work well with others, and serve as a key support member on the accounting team. This full-time position requires occasional evening and weekend work due to month-end close responsibilities and deadlines. The successful candidate will report to our Gainesville, Virginia office.

Job Duties

• Data entry
• A/R processing and collections
• Billing assistance
• Contract review and project set up
• Assist with office administration tasks 
• Assist with month-end/year-end close and internal reporting
• Other tasks as requested by senior staff

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Recent college graduate or 0-5 years’ experience
• Basic knowledge of automated accounting systems (will train on SAP S/4 software)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
