Position Overview
The Industrial Athlete Specialist is responsible for providing onsite first aid and preventative care aimed at improving the health and safety of our employees within OSHA guidelines. This role involves ergonomic assessments, preventative assessments, and educating employees on various health-related topics such as nutrition, proper sleep and rest, strength and conditioning, and recovery.

Job Duties
- Providing first aid for work-related discomforts, adhering to OSHA standards.
- Observing and assisting in tree care operations, coaching on ergonomic work positioning, and educating on health programs.
- Conducting ergonomic and movement assessments.
- Engaging with employees on health topics during safety meetings.
- Using biometric technology to improve climbing practices.
- Developing preventative mobility and stability programs.
- Creating educational materials for employee health.
- Acquiring industry knowledge to inform recommendations.
- Ensuring effective time management and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, or related fields. An associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will also be considered.
- Required: Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Required: Previous experience working in a health, fitness, or wellness capacity within a Sport, Industrial, Military, or Fitness setting.
- Required: Previous experience working in an inpatient/outpatient setting or any other clinical/performance setting.
- Required: First Aid and CPR certified.
- Required: Ability and willingness to travel.
- Preferred: Masters/Graduate degree in related field
- Preferred: OSHA 30 Training certification or OSHA 10/30 hour course certification.
- Preferred: Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) Training.
- Preferred: Familiarity with or certified in Selective Fundamental Movement Assessment (SFMA) or Functional Movement Screen (FMS).
- Preferred: Fluency in Spanish.
