Position Overview
The CLS Irrigation Crew Leader is responsible for leading a team of irrigation technicians in enhancing the appearance and value of client properties through the skilled installation, maintenance, operation, repair, and troubleshooting of irrigations systems, and landscape lighting systems. This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location.
Job Duties
• Lead, assist, and train crew members in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.
• Conduct job briefings, read irrigation plans, set up work sites, and assign tasks to crew members.
• Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to crew members.
• Monitor crew work performance and conduct final site walk-through.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Debrief daily assignments and collaborate with management.
• Track and report team hours.
• Safely operate and maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety rules and report any incidents.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate equipment as a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License. Class B CDL valuable, but not required.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Experience with computers or tablets.
