Assistant Treasurer

Position Overview:

The Assistant Treasurer oversees core treasury functions, including banking relationships, debt management, cash management, forecasting, and covenant compliance. The position also supports risk management and insurance activities, ESOP and equity‑based compensation programs, and the development of Board of Directors and shareholder communications. Additionally, the Assistant Treasurer plays a key role in special initiatives and the long‑term strategic direction of the Treasury organization.

Job Duties:

Banking & Debt Management

  • Assist with maintaining and managing relationships with the Company’s banking partners.
  • Assist with managing and negotiating credit facilities, long‑term debt (including private placements), AR securitization programs, and leases.
  • Monitor debt covenant compliance and related reporting requirements.
  • Monitor borrowings and manage interest rate exposure across debt facilities

 

Cash Management

  • Manage all daily cash management activities.
  • Assist with executing wire transfers as required.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain cash flow forecasts.
  • Reconcile actual cash activity to forecasts and analyze variances.

 

Board of Director & Shareholder Communications

  • Assist with drafting monthly and quarterly communications, including:
    • Board of Directors Materials and Letters
    • Shareholder Letters and updates
    • Other treasury‑related communications as needed

 

ESOP and Equity Compensation Programs

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the administration and recordkeeping of the Company’s stock and equity‑based compensation programs, including programs administered under the Company’s 2024 Omnibus Plan
  • Oversee equity‑related transactions and activities
  • Assist in managing the stock administrator relationship with Principal/EQ.

 

Risk Management & Insurance (Support role; program led by VP & Treasurer)

  • Assist with evaluation of insurance needs across property and casualty, Directors & Officers, Fiduciary, Management Liability, Cyber, and other coverage lines.
  • Maintain relationships with insurance brokers (Marsh, Aon) and insurers.
  • Support preparation of annual insurance renewal submissions.
  • Participate in insurance renewal meetings and assist with related presentations.
  • Support the Certificates of Insurance (COI) process in coordination with Marsh and Old Republic.
  • Maintain relationships with actuaries and third‑party administrators.
  • Assist in developing annual insurance cost allocations charged to operations.
  • Review interim and year‑end actuarial reserve valuations.
  • Support management of the Company’s captive insurance program
  • Review significant claims and coordinate with internal and external counsel as needed.
  • Approve large settlement payments in accordance with established authority levels.
  • Help administer the annual Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) survey.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Partner with Accounting, Controllership, Operations, Legal, HR, and other functional teams to support company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA designation preferred; Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus.
  • Experience with ESOPs, insurance programs, and equity‑based compensation preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in finance or treasury leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated project management capability with strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with banking, insurance, legal, investment, and operational professionals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance claims handling and risk management principles is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, data management tools, and standard business software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive‑level presentations.
