Position Overview

The Davey Tree Expert Company is a leader in arboricultural and landscape services throughout the US and Canada.

Our Accounting Services Business Process department, located within the Corporate Office, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Business Analyst.

The position is in our Corporate Office in Kent, Ohio. 

Job Duties

The Business Analyst position includes the following duties, functions, and responsibilities:

• Responsible for Leading/Assisting all system enhancements, implementations, and process improvements for Financial Service Organization. (AR/ AP/ Billing/ Master Data/ Collections/Customer Service/ Financial Accounting)
  • • Responsible for gathering data, user requirements, via observation and business personnel interviews
    • Gather systems requirements and work with I/T to address needed configuration and enhancements
    • Liaison between Financial Services and I/T and Operations.
    • Research systems and trends for business process improvements
    • Analyze and recommend improvements to the organization’s business processes to improve overall performance and productivity
    • Lead/Assist with S4-Hana ERP implementation for Financial Services Organization. This includes both Sales and Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI) modules.
    • Assist in the creation/implementation of Davey Time (Field entry time and billing documentation system)  
    • Design, develop, document and test processes and train end users

Job Duties Continued

• Responsible for supporting all financial external and internal integrated systems for the Financial Services Organization
  • Lead/Assist with improving, maintaining, and troubleshooting current financial systems integrated into both ERP systems (SAP-ECC and SAP S4-Hana)
    • Including but not limited to: Banks/Bill Trust Cash App/Paymetric/ Elavon/ Etactics/ CNBS Bill pay/ P2PE/Vertex/ Concur/ Esker/ Utility billing third party billing sites/ All Davey Pro modules/ Zendesk
    •  
  • Work with I/T to address needed configuration changes and enhancements
  • Design, develop, document, and test all new, changed, or enhances processes, and train end users
• On-board/assist with acquisitions into all financial services systems
• Interaction and collaboration with various departments and local offices regarding system issues that need to be resolved
• Ability to consistently adhere to daily and weekly deadlines
• Lead/Assist in other projects and duties as needed

Qualifications

Skills We’re Seeking: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years working in a related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of Word and Excel
• Strong analytical research abilities
• Problem solving and negotiating skills
• Excellent organizations skills and attention to detail
• SAP and integrated system with SAP a plus.

Must be able to work in Kent, Ohio daily.
