Position Overview
The Manager, H&S Information Systems is responsible for leading the development and implementation of information system solutions to optimize the operations of the Health and Safety Department. This role involves managing the system of record, enhancing interfaces, collaborating with cross-departmental teams, providing consultation, and optimizing risk management and health and safety information systems configuration.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and terminate employees.
- Oversee, plan, assign, and direct work.
- Appraise performance.
- Reward and discipline employees.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
Job Duties
- Drive information system solutions to enhance the operations of the Health and Safety Department.
- Provide oversight and management for the System of Record (SoR) to ensure data reliability.
- Determine and implement strategies to enhance information systems interfaces, streamline processes, and optimize reporting mechanisms for the improvement, accuracy, efficiency, and overall value of Health and Safety reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations Management and other support teams to enhance comprehensive data management and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive organizational synergy and innovation.
- Provide consultation for the development of the safety management system.
- Provide insight for the creation and management of the department's budget.
- Oversee the configuration and performance of forms and programs in risk management and health and safety information systems to optimize value and operational efficiency.
- Research and develop new system processes.
- Create, design, and customize reporting systems.
- Lead the configuration of new risk management and health and safety information systems projects as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Required: Experience in Health and Safety Risk Management and computer systems, specifically programming and design, acquired from a combination of education, professional development, or work experience.
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer or software programs necessary to complete job duties.
- Preferred: Experience and/or education working with Origami, SAP, S4 Hanna, SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Beacon Insight.
- Preferred: Leadership responsibility in a supervisory role.
