Project Manager, Corporate Communications

Davey is seeking a motivated, data-driven, and creative social media specialist to join its corporate communications department. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for brand storytelling through social media. This candidate will work with Davey’s corporate social media team. This position will be at Davey’s corporate headquarters in Kent, Ohio. Attention to detail and being self-driven are necessary for this position. The candidate will help share Davey’s story with our external audience and have an active role in brand reputation management. This candidate will work with a supportive team who celebrates their wins, encourages collaboration, and helps them grow professionally.

Job Duties

• Content creation for Davey’s corporate social media accounts and diversifying the messages to fit each social media audience. In order of focus, this will include:

• • Information gathering.
  • Writing post language for multiple social media platforms.
  • Creating graphics utilizing web-based design platforms to support social media posts.
  • Pulling photo assets from our digital asset library to support social media posts.
  • Collaborating with our graphic designer on specific projects to create graphics.

• Respond to comments and direct message on social media platforms and work with our client experience team to help resolve client and brand issues.
• Collaborating with other team members and internal partners as part of larger communications initiatives.
• Assist with social media analytics reporting projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or journalism.
• 2-5 years of experience with social media content creation and client experience monitoring for corporate brand(s) or not-for-profit organization(s).
• Posted professional content and managed accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube for an organization or company.
• Experience working with a social media management system. Experience with Sprout, Hootsuite, or a comparable social media management tool is a must.
• Experience working with web-based graphic design platforms, like Canva.
• An understanding of how to maintain brand consistency and voice across all social media platforms.
• An understanding of social media analytics.
• Experience collaborating with vendors for video creation is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of AP Style is a must.
• A willingness to lend a hand on projects outside their scope of work.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
