Social Media Intern | Kent, Ohio

Position Overview

Davey is seeking a motivated, data-driven, and creative intern to join its corporate communications department. This position will work primarily with Davey’s corporate social media team. This is an in-person internship at Davey’s corporate headquarters in Kent, Ohio. Attention to detail and being self-driven are a must for this internship. An intern will gain skills with a dynamic social media management system, interpreting social media data to inform strategy, and understanding the importance of brand reputation management.

Job Duties

• Respond to comments and direct messages on social media platforms and work with our client experience team to help resolve client and brand issues.
• Track posts that mention any sponsorships, giving or in-kind work our operations have performed and build a report to share this data.
• Assist with social media analytics projects.
• Process YouTube uploads.
• Social media content creation as assigned. 

Ideal candidate experience:

• Positing professional content or managing accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube for an organization or company.
• Previous experience working with a social media management system. Experience with Sprout, Hootsuite, or a comparable social media management tool is a plus. 
• Has excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Is pursuing a degree in digital communications, public relations, or journalism.
• Is willing to lend a hand on projects outside of their scope of work.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
