Position Overview

The UVM Data Scientist is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and preparing data from multiple sources, ensuring it is ready for analysis in a client-facing environment. The role involves developing statistical models and data visualizations to uncover insights, identify patterns, and drive data-driven decision-making.This position works in an office environment.

Job Duties

• Be an integral part of day to day operations 

• Follow pre-established procedures and guidelines

• Gather, review and relay data,trends and information to clients, management and staff

• Run reports, query and analyze existing database for outliers, customer information and productivity

• Summarize large amounts of information into concise deliverables

• Generate work requests and facilitate employee work planning

• Update project dates and status 

•  Identify schedule attainment goals, track schedule and productivity and manage project deadlines

• Support client with any additional clerical duties

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and basic computer applications

• Impeccable organization and planning skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Ability to problem solve and adapt and overcome obstacles

• Strong ability to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Great people skills, willingness and desire to assist employees and clients 

• Flexibility and open to possibility of overtime and working outside regular schedule
