Position Overview

The Operations Administrator is responsible for high-level administrative and operational support to leadership and functional teams, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of projects, processes, and initiatives. The role manages agreements and workflows while maintaining a professional client experience; oversees internal systems, documentation, and reporting tools; and develops and implements recommendations for continuous improvement through audits and workflow analyses.
Job Duties
● Provide administrative and operational support to senior leadership and functional teams.
● Manage and maintain agreements, contracts, or work orders, follow up with administrative requirements, and provide a positive and professional experience to clients throughout key touch points.
● Manage and develop initiatives across teams or departments to ensure consistent execution and timely delivery.
● Use discretion to develop, manage, communicate, and implement templates, standard operating procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
● Manage, maintain, and improve internal systems, tools, accounts, and processes for communication, task tracking, and documentation.
● Manage documentation, reports, and records.
● Track and monitor metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
● Conduct audits, workflow analyses, and implement process improvements.
● Plan, schedule, and track internal projects or programs.
● Attend conferences, events, and shows.
● Serve as a liaison between business units, teams, or support departments to resolve bottlenecks, investigate problems, and improve coordination.
● Support or provide internal communications and knowledge-sharing efforts.
● Support or conduct onboarding and provide internal training related to operational procedures.
● Provide high-level administrative support that promotes a professional, solutions-focused office environment.
● Regular and timely attendance.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
● Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Qualifications
● Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
● Required: Valid driver’s license.
● Required: At least three years in an administrative, project coordination, or operations support role, providing professional support to internal teams and external contacts.
● Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and other software programs necessary to complete job duties.
● Required: Experience designing or improving workflows and standard operating procedures.
● Required: Experience supporting sales, marketing, or business development teams.
● Preferred: Experience coordinating logistics or representing a company at trade shows, conferences, or industry events.
● In some cases, the government clients Davey Tree Expert Company contracts with conduct their own background check. Results of this background check may affect the potential for hire.
