Position Overview

The UAM Engineering Services Analyst is responsible for engaging with clients by presenting data on project costs, timelines, progress, and resolving any project data discrepancies. This is an intermediate-level position, and individuals are expected to understand and apply information and skills with minimal support. Work assignments involve applying procedures to solve mid-level or complex challenges. This role provides our utility clients with the services and solutions needed to manage their assets efficiently and effectively by performing the duties described. This
position is an individual contributor role, working both in an office and/or in a remote setting.

 

This positon is a hybrid role (remote/in-office) out of our Pittsburgh, PA office. 

 

Compensation Data

Starting Rate: $25 per hour

Job Duties

● Lead client meetings, present data on costs and timelines, provide insights, and update clients on project progress.*
● Prepare for client meetings by developing meeting agendas, outlining key discussion points, and organizing relevant data to facilitate productive and goal-oriented conversations.*
● Conduct thorough investigations to resolve client issues; answer questions regarding billing and timeline data, identify trends, and deliver recommendations.*
● Assist in vendor relationship management.*
● Prepare, review, and process invoices and billing statements for engineering services.*
● Develop cost estimates for engineering projects by gathering data, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with leadership.*
● Manage joint-use applications, client proposals, and data within client-specific software, including Google Suite, SPANS, NJUNS, and GIS platforms.*
● Manage project cost and timeline data across various spreadsheets and platforms.*
● Effectively communicate between team members and clients through both written and verbal channels.*
● Follow project workflow procedures to ensure efficiency.*
● Manage files and records using electronic filing systems.*
● Maintain confidentiality practices in accordance with company and client policy.*
● Ensure the proper care and maintenance of any vehicle and equipment assigned including regular inspections, maintenance checks, and prompt reporting of any issues to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
● Understand and execute proper use of document management systems, proper filing, and document import/export.
● React safely and appropriately in emergency situations.
● Report and respond timely and accurately to the supervisor.*
● Participate in employee and professional training events as assigned.
● Travel (5%) for on-site job duty training, projects, or meetings.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
● Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.

Qualifications

Required: High-school diploma with a minimum of 3 years in an office support role or similar position with a strong background in customer service, invoicing, and managing high-volume data.
Required: Obtain and maintain professional certificates and licenses commensurate with project requirements.
Required: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, data entry, and utility data tracking software applications, such as SPANS, NJUNS, and GIS platforms. Must be able to learn new client-required system software.
Required: Prior electric utility or telecommunications industry knowledge. 
Required: Strong communication skills including written and verbal. Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Draft intelligible, professional, and accurate correspondence. Effectively and clearly communicate and present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Required: Apply understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Identify, address, and resolve problems involving multiple variables and varied situations.
Required: Perform moderately complex arithmetic computations.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university.
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in an office support role or similar position with a strong background in customer service and managing high-volume data.
