POSITION: Project Manager

The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists, professional foresters, horticulturalists, natural resource specialists, environmental scientists, GIS technicians, and plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Pro-actively promote safety and maintain a safe work environment

  • Manages internal quality observations including Quality Assurance, Quality Verification, Work Verification and Vegetation Management inspections

  • Communicates with peers, exchanging ideas or gathering information on overall program plan and goals within a specific functional area of operations

  • Manage and oversee daily related vegetation operations to support client peers

  • Contributes to the implementation and creation of new concepts, processes and ideas to further vegetation management program advancement.

  • Provide client and contractor support

  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns

  • Manages emergency work, i.e, for severe storms, wildfires and power shutoff events

  • Interact with local public agencies (i.e. State, County, City, Fire Department, etc.)

  • Conduct Safety Observations

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Two or four year degree in horticulture, forestry, urban forestry, environmental science, natural resources or related discipline

  • Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to travel throughout service territory as needed

  • International Society for Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 2 years vegetation management experience 

  • Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle
