Position Overview

The Davey Resource Group (DRG) Account Manager will be responsible for assigned and account management, operation efficiencies and support functions as they pertain to achieving goals, strategies and objectives and enforcement of company policies and procedures.  

Job Duties

Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:

- Understand, follow and enforce all company policies, procedures, codes, rules and initiatives; applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, wage and hour, and immigration laws; industry and regulatory safety policies and procedures.  

- Develop and implement strategies required to achieve sales goals and obtain new contracts, enhance contracts and renew contracts

- Develop a network of referral business through relationships with subcontractors, vendors, allied trades and other associates 

- Develop accurate proposals and estimates and implement and monitor job start up and on-the-job performance 

- Understand client expectations and maintain client satisfaction 

- Manager subcontractors and vendors and assign crews and equipment for cost control, productivity and profitability 

- Understand and articulate assigned duties to employees working on the job or contract 

- Work with and assist onsite personnel and employees to enhance client relationship and complete requested work timely and accurately 

- Review priorities with foreman and supervisors and suggest methods to improve quality and efficiency 

- Proactively identify and submit for considering problem solving, site enhancement or other opportunities for clients 

- Conduct job location walk-throughs, attend meetings, and provide written or other reports and communicate with clients and supervisor 

- Monitor job site to verify compliance with contract specifications

- Comply with documentation procedures, including pre work performed, obtain a signed agreement, completed job card, labor and material estimate, billing information, and other information as required by policy or contract 

- Monitor actual vs. budget performance on a job-by-job basis; develop strategies to address deviations and review with supervisors 

- Assist with recruitment, training, discipline and development of employees

- Pursue professional development in the telecommunication or power utility industry and remain current on events and tends of our clients (existing or potential) and our competition 

- Actively pursue collection of receivables 

- Work with team to verify equipment is maintained according to policy and specifications 

- React appropriately and professionally in emergency situations 

- Report timely and accurately to direct manager 

- Oversee contract and job requirements, directs crews and contractors and report and address issues timely 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications: 

- Driver's license required.  Commercial driver's license preferred and may be required depending on job requirements

- Bachelor's Degree preferred or one to two years industry related experience

- Professional certifications and licenses preferred and may be required depending on job requirements 

- Participate in relevant professional and community development, associations, and/or events 

- Basic computer skills required 

Must be able to read, write and comprehend English instructions, correspondence and memos.  Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations to customers, clients and employees of the organization.  Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial 

- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic computations

- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in various situations.   Ability to accurately interpret and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form 

- Must obtain and maintain licenses and certifications as required by law, regulation or company policy 

- Must be able to multi-task and work under distractions and interruptions

- Must be able to obtain and select pertinent information through investigation, observation and questioning

Work Environment:  The work environment described are representative of what employee encounter while performing the essentials functions of this job.   

- Noise level and environmental changes in the work environment 

- Moving mechanical parts

- Outdoor weather conditions and environments such as extreme cold, heat, and wet or humid conditions.  

- Uneven terrain and hiking 

- Exposure to a variety of vegetation, animals, insect and other possible impediments  

 

Physical Requirements:  The following are representative of the physical requirements that must be met to perform the essential functions of the job 

- Exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and up to 20 lbs of force constantly 

- Standing and walking around the work site 

- Must be able to see and judge the distance of objects and items 

- Must be able to hear to receive and give instructions
