Position Overview
Our Utility Asset Management team is expanding and looking to add engineers to our team! This position will focus on Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) Design-utility electrical distribution designs 25kV and below.
Job Duties
- Collaborate with other staff and clientele to complete all requirements for workflow tasks, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Accurately identify power pole equipment and structures.
- Apply engineering construction standards to aerial and underground pole design across low voltage design disciplines, including but not limited to power-on follow-ups, equipment/pole replacements, infrastructure maintenance, new infrastructure builds, and reconductoring.
- Interpret data across multiple platforms of communication.
- Routinely meet, plan, and execute any outlined production requirements, timelines, or other goals.
- Use a variety of softwares both efficiently and proficiently for general workflow, reporting, timekeeping, tracking, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience with power distribution engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of geographic or modeling softwares including but not limited to AutoCAD/ARCGIS, Katapult, O-Calc, OMS, and/or SpidaCalc is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be comfortable speaking with multiple levels of management.
- Ability to comply with governing authorities and their requirements, negotiate with private landowners, as well as provide communication, instruction, and guidance as needed to contractors.

Additional Information
Candidates must be comfortable working full-time with a minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week. The starting compensation range is based on experience and starts between $21-23 per hour. This position will be reporting to the Richfield, OH office. DRG offers excellent benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance after 30 days of employment. Phone reimbursement available. Vacation Pay, Company stock and 401-K eligibility after 1 year. Continual training and development are offered.
