Position Overview

This is a seasonal position (May - Dec 2026) with an opportunity to become a permanent employee after the conclusion of the project.

What You'll Do

  • Audit herbicide spray crews along utility right-of-ways
  • Inspect and assess vegetation in right-of-ways for compliance standards
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Planners and Vegetation Crews to create customized solutions

What You'll Need

  • Love of the outdoors and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrain
  • Ability to operate with limited remote supervision
  • Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability and desire to travel throughout the utility service area
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean DMV driving record
  • Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Virginia Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or other pesticide license in a state with reciprocity)
