Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Seasonal Mechanic/Landscape Technician to join our team at the SEED Campus in Kent, Ohio. Mechanic duties will account for a portion of hours worked per week, with landsacping duties to supplement hours, bringing to the job to a full 40 hours per week. 

This is a seasonal position running approximately from March 15h-Novebmer 15th. 

Job Duties

Landscape Duties:

• Mow, trim and edge lawns
• Plant and care for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Follow all safety guidelines 
• Report to supervisor regularly

Mechnic Duties: 

Keep us rolling to our jobs by making sure that nothing is going to stop us! 

Inspect and repair office vehicles and equipment including but not limited to:  

• CDL Vehicles: Bucket Trucks, Log Trucks, Chip Trucks, etc
• Pick-Up Trucks 
• Aerial Lifts 
• Brush Chippers 
• Mobile Equipment 
• Small Engine equipment 
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the field.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Ability to acquire applicator licenses as necessary per state requirements
• Ability to operate power equipment
