POSITION LOCATION: North Carolina 
Project Length: 6-9 months,travel costs covered and per diem provided

The Davey Resource Group is looking to hire 1-8 on-call Wildlife Project Leads, 1-8 Wildlife Leads, 1 Wildlife Specialist and 1 Wildlife Technician to support our disaster restoration efforts in North Carolina. This is an on-call position with an estimated project length of 6-9 months. Travel costs will be covered and per diem awarded. When on project you can expect to go back home at least once per month. 

Job Duties

What you’ll do:

• Successfully contribute to all aspects of vegetation management planning and analysis.
• Perform general wildlife management activities including: habitat management, native seeding, food plot development, and invasive species management
• General area maintenance involving mowing, the use of hand tools, chain saws, and/or trimmers.
• Safe operation of all equipment. 

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Hold a current U.S. drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Love of the outdoors and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Ability to identify plant and wildlife species in the eastern United States.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, animal ecology, or other closely related area of study. 

Lead qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in wildlife management or other related field.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, animal ecology, or other closely related area of study.
